Steps

Step1) Click "Industrial Training Report"



Step 2) Click "Make a New Industrial Training Report"



Step 3) Select your Student ID




All your information will then appear.




Step 4) There are a few sections in the "Industrial Training Report". Expand "Introduction To Industrial Training Experience Section"

You need to write at least 3 paragraphs. Include pictures, artifacts etc. into the content wherever necessary.

Click "Save" whenever you finish a section so that you don't loose your work due to any unforeseen circumstances.





Step 5) Expand Introduction to Company Background Section

Here is where you introduce about your company. Include diagrams, company organization chart, etc. Describe the company business and how you fit in.




Step 6) Expand "Knowledge and Skills Applied And Gained Section"



Click "Add Row" and then click on the "Topic" column



You can "Create a new Knowledge And Skills Topics" if you are not able to find a topic in the selection. Click the "Expand" button to view more information.






Describe in detail what are you tasked to do? - What you need to know to perform the tasks? - What skills are needed? - Where and how you source for the knowledge? (Provide references) - Provide samples or applications of existing work / implementation (ie. what have people done and/or how it is currently implemented.) - What are the skills and knowledge you will gain?

Include citations and references.

There is no limit on the length of your content. However, the content should not be too short. A few paragraphs with code snipet, diagrams, charts, etc. will be fine.








Then , write on "Demonstrating Detailed Understanding Of Some Technical Aspects Of The Work".

Provide a detailed description on you have carried out and/or implemented the tasks assigned to you. - Provide code snippets and explain them. (if coding was done.) - Draw diagrams (eg. network topology diagrams, system architecture diagrams, design diagrams such as (E/R diagram, UML diagram, etc.). Explain them. - Explain the problems encountered. For example, you encounter some error codes, so what the error code means? How you solve them? Did you contact external technical support team(s)? How do you interact with them and how was the problem solved?

Once again, write a few paragraphs on this and include diagrams, code snippet, etc.




When you are done, return to the main screen and click "Save"


[Note: You are required to write on 2 Topics for "Knowledge and Skills Applied And Gained Section"]

So, click "Add Row" and repeat the process again.
  



Step 7) Expand "Conclusion Section"

  • Describe how learning experience at work relates to personal interest/ambition and preparation for career. Some examples of the points that you could discuss are as follows.
    • Real world experience. Opportunity to work hands on in a professional environment.
    • Networking. Opportunity to attend meetings and events and to interact with professionals.
    • Portfolio Builder. Experience gained enhances and add on to your portfolio.
    • Time Management.finishing tasks on deadlines.
    • Career Foundation. Employers often use internships as a recruitment tool to test out future employees and in many cases, companies hire interns after graduation.




Step 8) Expand Shortcoming and Mitigation Section

  • Write about your personal shortcomings.  and mitigate (i.e. personal development)

    Perform and write your SWOT analysis to mitigate your shortcomings how do you plan to overcome your weaknesses and/or threats


    SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats analysis) is a framework for identifying and analyzing the internal and external factors that can have an impact on the viability of a project, product, place or person.
    • Strengths (internal, positive factors) 
    • Weaknesses (internal, negative factors) 
    • Opportunities (external, positive factors) 
    • Threats (external, negative factors)

    Upon performing your SWOT analysis, how do you plan to overcome your weaknesses and/or threats?



Step 9) Expand "Daily Logs Section"

  • The title for our daily log must be as follows:
    Day 1 - <date>

    Note: Do not write only one line for your daily log.

    What should you write in your daily log?
    • What are you tasked to do?
    • What have you done on that day? (Show proofs such as coding examples, pictures, diagrams, etc.)
    • What you managed to accomplish on that day? What have you not able to accomplish? (Mitigate on your non-achievement(s).)
    • What do you plan to do the following day?

Click "Add Row"




Click the "Expand" button to view more information

Write your daily log.






Return to the main menu and click "Save"




Create a daily log for each day of your internship.






Step 10) Expand "Weekly Log Section"




Click "Add Row" and then click the "Expand" button to view more information.






Start to write your weekly log.

  • Note: Do not write only a few lines for your weekly log.

    Your weekly log is a summary of what you have been tasked to do for that week as well as a summary of what have you done on that week.

    You need to show proofs such as coding examples, pictures, diagrams, etc. on the tasks you have carried out for that week. Include in your weekly log whatever information you have not included in your daily log. 

    Your weekly log will attempt to answer the following questions:
    • What you managed to accomplish on that week? 
    • What have you not able to accomplish? (Mitigate on your non-achievement(s).)
    • What do you plan to do the following week?



Return to main screen and click "Save"

Write a week log for each week of your internship.







Step 11) Expand "Monthly Log Section"

Write a summary of the tasks that you need to perform and your achievement. Write a SWOT analysis for that month. Plan for the following month.




Click "Add Row" and then click to "Expand" button to view more information and start writing your monthly log.




Return to the main screen and click "Save".




Write the monthly for each month of your internship.






Step 12) Expand "Company Supervisor Section"




Please take note this section depends on the information you have created in "Company Supervisor".

If you have created the "Company Supervisor" but nothing appears in "Company Supervisor" as shown below, then scroll to the top and remove away your "Student ID" and then re-select your "Student ID".










Return to "Company Supervisor Section" and select your "Company Supervisor".







Step 13)  Expand "Additional Information Section"

If you more information to add to your report such as Appendices, you could attach their softcopy.

Note 2:

If you see the error message as shown below, it means that you have not entered your Company Supervisor information. Scroll down to the "Company Supervisor Section".
