VIGILANT ASIA (M) SDN BHD is a Managed Security Service Provider and a wholly own subsidiary of Efficient E-Solutions Berhad – a company that has been providing business services to Asia’s leading organisations for close to 30 years.

We first commenced business in 1986, operating out of a small office in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. From here, with only a handful of workers, we provided fulfilment services to Asia’s leading banks and financial institutions.

From carrying out simple functions like printing of letters, bundling of offers and coupons, packing and mail processing, we grew to develop an understanding of technology that is today the underpinning of our business and the various sectors in which we operate.

Using our fast-developing expertise in technology, we enhanced out presence in new areas of business process outsourcing, providing many additional services to clients that included Data and Document Processing (DDP), Electronic Bills Presentment (EBP), Documents Storage, Document Digitization, Outsourced IT Services and now Manage Security Services.

Job Description

As a Security Analyst Practical Intern, you are responsible to monitor our computer networks for security issues, investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents as well as document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.

Responsibilities

Monitor computer networks for security issues.

Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents.

Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.

Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.

Work with security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.

Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.

Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.

Perform penetration testing.

Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.

Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.

Requirements

• Undertaking Diploma / Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

• CGPA at 3.0 and above

• Experience in information security or related field

• Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
