Job Description

• Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves network and server infrastructure alerts.
• Follows knowledge articles to provide support for infrastructure systems.
• Works effectively with cross-function teams of IT professionals to troubleshoot these systems.
• Tracks and drives the resolution of issues.
• Works with service providers to create, escalate and resolve support issues. 
• Coordinates remotely with local site contacts to troubleshoot and resolve circuit issues.
• Escalates critical issues appropriately to the supervisors and support teams. 
• Completes project related tasks as assigned by the supervisors.
  

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of operations systems support (Windows, Linux) or telecommunication systems, such as network architectures, IP voice, wireless, internet technologies.
  
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to document operations procedures.
• Strong verbal communications skills, including professional customer service skills and the ability to effectively deal with hardware and software vendors when troubleshooting problems.
•  Suitable for last year, last semester student that can complete a full 6-month internship and be available for permanent role. Those with less than 6 months Internship but able to extend the duration electively with PPG, may also apply.
  

• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to document operations procedures.
• Strong verbal communications skills, including professional customer service skills and the ability to effectively deal with hardware and software vendors when troubleshooting problems.
• Cisco VoIP and Avaya telephony, Citrix NetScaler Load-Balancers, Cisco IOS and NxOS, Meraki networking, Palo Alto NGFW, SD-WAN solutions.
• Understanding of DNS architecture, IP subnets, and Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP).
• Courses and Certification in Networking, OSS & Cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of and Experience with backup/restore operations.
• Experience with OSS and/or network monitoring.
